GAY. I wanna know how the fuck to keep my shit on tempo, like a snap to grid type thing. So I can copy and paste it for the duration of the song and it still sound good.

Click the scissors button near the bottom to edit the track, select all (click one note, apple + A), change enhance timing from none to whatever suits your song.

    Thanks, I’ll try that soon.

In the lower left of the editing window you can see “Enhance Timing” and you can set that to the certain tempo, whether it be every 2 beats, every beat, every half a beat, etc…i live off it. I also copy and paste throughout, and it all stays on tempo. And looping the track is also helpful

i dont have a mac so i obviously don’t have garage band, im just wondering if anyone here know any PC programs i can get a hold of to mix drum tracks.

I have Garageband not able to change beat. Do you have to have a drum midi in and out to do that? Or is there a setting pref. I need to manipulate the notes to drum beats? Thanks

  • MarxIzalias said:

In GarageBand green tracks are midi tracks with note and sound information, where as blue tracks are audio files without note information like .aiff or .mp3.

  • Funkymonkz11 said:

i’d highly suggest Ableton Live for any MIDI drum manipulation. for a more audio oriented DAW, i’d go with ProTools.

on mac, i’d just use Logic for both

When I double click the midi file as demonstrated in the video, the editor displays the drum loop in a ‘wave’ format versus a ‘cell’ format. I want to be able to edit the drum loops. What am I doing wrong? How can I have the loop displayed in a ‘cell’ format like the video?
